EmpiRx Health is seeking a Clinical Formulary Specialist to join our Montvale team. You will work with the Senior Manager of Formulary Strategy to drive deep savings while maintaining clinically appropriate care. The Clinical Formulary Specialist is a pharmacist who works with and supports the Senior Manager, Formulary Strategy to ensure EmpiRx Health achieves deep and sustainable savings guaranteed to our clients, while maintaining clinically appropriate pharmacy care. This role collaborates with internal partners to ensure the accuracy, maintenance, and execution of EmpiRx Health Formularies, Clinical Program Edits, and Drug Lists. Externally, the Clinical Formulary Specialist serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing critical clinical expertise and guidance to support the EmpiRx Health Sales Team across all sales opportunities.
Pharmacy degree required; Pharm.D. preferred.
MBA or degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience within a PBM, health plan, or pharmacy benefit consulting company.
At least 2 years of experience analyzing raw prescription data.
Experience working with a P&T Committee and/or Formulary Management preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, prescription medication analysis, and research required.
Licensed Pharmacist (Required).
Board certifications are a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills; prior public speaking experience preferred.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
