About the Job
This position provides oversight and coordination of all clinicalexperiences and community partnerships for the teacher educationprograms. This position must demonstrate sensitivity toward, andknowledge and understanding of, diverse academic, socioeconomic,gender, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
This position is located on-campus in Morris, MN. This is a fulltime, 9 month appointment.
Job duties
Clinical Experience Placements (50%)
Placement Logistics & Operations
- Develop and implement placement procedures for the full rangeof clinical experiences, including tutor-aide, field experiences,student teaching internships, and practical.
- Maintain accurate and updated memoranda of understanding withschool districts.
- Process payments to schools, cooperating teachers, andsupervisors.
- Make recommendations to the Division Chair for student teachingbudgets.
Supervision & Partner Support
- Provide support, training resources, and clear documentation(such as candidate and host responsibilities) for cooperatingteachers and university supervisors.
- Track completion of cooperating teacher and field supervisorrequired activities and document submissions.
- Serve as the primary contact to mediate performance orinterpersonal challenges between candidates, host schools, andsupervisors.
- Lead pre-placement orientations for candidates on professionalethics, site expectations, and placement guidelines.
Compliance, Data & Quality Assurance
- Track and monitor individual field experience requirementsrelated to Minnesota teacher licensure rules.
- Use current digital assessment systems (e.g., Tk20, SL&L)to manage applications, placements, assessments, andreporting.
- Monitor and analyze candidate placement data to ensure diversedemographic, socioeconomic, and learning environment exposure.
- Collaborate with faculty to update evaluation instruments andprovide relevant clinical data to the assessment coordinator.
Outreach & School/Community Partnerships (35%)
Partnership & Program Development
- Lead Division of Education teacher preparation outreachinitiatives on campus and with area partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant campus programs(e.g., Education Minnesota Aspiring Educators Program, Office ofCommunity Engagement) and regional school programs.
- Support faculty and the Division Chair in implementing alumnisupport systems.
- Collaborate with campus colleagues and community partners onshared initiatives (e.g., Morris Challenge) to assess area needsand explore programming opportunities.
- Plan and implement outreach events such as future educatordays, campus visits, etc.
- Regularly communicate with all school partners beyond clinicalexperience placements.
Partner Activity Planning and Implementation
- Collaborate with the Division Chair on Teacher EducationAdvisory Council activities, taking a leadership role in planningmeetings, events, and agenda items.
- Document school partnership activities via meeting minutes,running records, and regular updates.
- Regularly consult with the Division Chair regarding partnershipgoals, potential opportunities, policy impacts, and budgetaryneeds.
- Collaborate with the Division Chair and partners on grantopportunities and funded programs supporting local schools.
Media, Communication, and Logistics
- Manage data sharing agreements and memoranda of understandingwith the Designated School Partner (as per MN Rule 8705.1010).
- Devise and implement methods to evaluate outreach andpartnership effectiveness.
- Oversee social media platforms and guide the overall mediapresence for teacher education.
- Lead the distribution, collection, and analysis ofaccreditation surveys (e.g., Exit Survey, Transition to TeachingSurvey, Supervisor Survey) in collaboration with the assessmentcoordinator.
Other Duties (15%)
- Examples of other duties may include but are not limited to:
- Perform direct field supervision of student teachers asassigned.
- Support program development, grant proposals, and liaison roleswith inter-departmental programs (e.g., NXT Gen TEACH, etc.).
- Support Post-Secondary Enrollment Option programs andstudents.
- Collaborate with the Office for Community Engagement on areaschool programs (Americorps, the Zone, Tiger Tracks, etc.).
- Complete other administrative or academic tasks assigned by theDivision Chair or Dean.

Qualifications
Essential knowledge, skills and experience
- BA/BS degree plus at least five years of related experience, ormaster's degree plus at least three years of relatedexperience.
- Current or former teaching licensure with three or more yearsof teaching experience.
- Enthusiasm and positive regard for the teachingprofession.
- Ability to organize and lead meetings with faculty, schoolpartners, and state/national personnel.
- Experience with basic office operations, billing and paymentprocessing.
- Excellent collaboration skills, including a willingness to seekfeedback and input, to listen to and value multiple perspectivesand points of view, to communicate regularly with multiplestakeholders, and to lead/initiate processes and plans.
- Conflict resolution or mediation skills; ability to navigatesensitive relationships and challenges.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work on varied andmultiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to gather information, research programs andinitiatives, assess effectiveness of programs, recognize problemsand barriers, and create strategic solutions.
- Experience with data management tools (e.g., advanced Excel,Google Analytics, Qualtrics, or dashboard tools).
Preferred knowledge, skills and experience
- Master’s degree in relevant field (strongly preferred).
- Qualified to conduct field supervision as per Minnesota Rule8705.1010 Standard 15 (strongly preferred).
- 5 or more years of teaching experience.
- Experience working with teacher preparation programs.
- Knowledge of Professional Educator Licensing and StandardsBoard teacher education standards and rules.
- Understanding of accreditation standards, processes, andreports.
- Experience developing community outreach programming.
Physical and/or environmental requirements
- Office environment including standing and sitting at desk,regular use of personal computer.
- Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10%standing.
- The usual and customary methods of performing the job’sfunctions require the following physical demands: some lifting,carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine fingerdexterity. Occasional lifting generally less than 50 pounds.
- This job is performed in a generally clean and healthyenvironment.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $ 45,000 - $57,500 ; depending oneducation/qualifications/experience
