Sentara Therapy Center BelleHarbour in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Clinical Exercise Specialist to administer therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed leader and provide quality exercise and health education.

You will establish and update personalized exercise programs, supervise clients during sessions, and document responses while supporting therapists in treatment planning. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required and 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and instruct clients safely.

Provides quality exercise and health education for patients, assuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. Productive and efficient in daily operations. Establishes and updates the exercise program to address the Client/participant's needs. Supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, ensuring client/participant safety. Provides effective instruction to Clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Supports the health education needs of the center. Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans. Documents patient response to treatment. Completes other clinical duties as assigned.
