Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on the North Olympic Peninsula seeks a Clinical Exercise Physiologist I to work with patients across cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic conditions and to promote lasting health behavior changes.

You will perform pre-participation health screening, initial exercise assessments, and develop programs to improve aerobic endurance, cardiovascular function, muscular strength and balance, while educating clients on testing and self-care for chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• Experience teaching or providing education in exercise or cardiopulmonary programs.
• BLS; ACLS within 90 days; ACSM EP-C/CEP/RCEP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic diseases to improve quality of life.
• Conduct pre-participation health screening and initial exercise assessments.
• Design programs to enhance aerobic endurance, cardiovascular function, strength, balance and range of motion.
• Educate clients about testing, exercise program components and self-care for chronic disease control.
