Job summary

The University of Virginia's Exercise Physiology Core Lab (EPCL) at the UVA School of Medicine is seeking an exercise physiologist to work with patients, athletes, students and researchers in a dynamic clinical research setting. You will perform CPETs, body composition testing, and resting metabolism assessments, supervise training sessions, and help lead seminars while maintaining equipment.

ACLS certification is expected within 6 months of hire; position may be technician or specialist based

Qualifications

• College degree in exercise physiology or related field; master's preferred.
• ACLS certification expected within 6 months of hire.
• Position may be Technician or Specialist level depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPETs, body composition testing, and resting metabolism assessments.
• Support stress echo protocols.
• Supervise exercise training sessions.
• Enter and assess research data.
• Help lead seminars and shape student experiences in the lab.
• Maintain testing equipment.
