Job summary

MedStar Health in the Baltimore area is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to assess patients' physical and functional capacity and to design and implement individualized fitness programs at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

You will collaborate with the health care team, monitor vital signs and safety, and contribute to rehabilitation and wellness initiatives across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Biomechanics required.
• 1–2 years clinical experience in cardiac rehabilitation, CPR/ER procedures, ECG and BP monitoring.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• ACSM certification as Exercise Test Technician or Exercise Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and functional status of patients and assist in fitness program operations.
• Collaborate on departmental budgeting and rehabilitation planning with care team.
• Coordinate health events and monitor program results with data collection.
• Develop and perform fitness testing and individualized programs; create curricula and seminars.
• Maintain safe, clean exercise areas and collaborate across departments.
