Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking an Equipment Technician to support nursing and clinical staff by cleaning, maintaining, and coordinating patient equipment. You will work with the Biomedical department and nursing leadership to ensure availability and article status updates, while participating in budgeting input for equipment needs.

The role requires safety training, strong communication, and on-call readiness to support daily operations and patient care in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prefers an Associate's degree in a related field.
• 6–12 months of experience with medical equipment.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate infusion, feeding and SCD pumps per manufacturer guidelines.
• Track and locate equipment using department databases.
• Ensure department is clean, stocked, and maintained during shifts.
• Coordinate movement of equipment to meet patient care needs.
