AdventHealth in Davenport, FL is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to install, inspect, repair, and maintain medical and related equipment. The role requires understanding regulatory requirements on patient data and a proactive, cost-conscious approach to service tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to assemble, maintain, and repair various medical equipment [Required]
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field [Required]
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition [Required]
• Ability to comprehend technical manuals and instructions [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

Responsibilities

• Understands regulations affecting customer's right to confidential information as it pertains to minors and adults.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair medical and non-medical equipment using test equipment.
• Understands the importance of documenting maintenance history of medical equipment and completes documentation for scheduled and unscheduled work performed.
• Demonstrates a cooperative attitude, displays a willingness to accept new tasks, and performs routine tasks proactively.
• Performs related duties as directed and with a cost-conscious attitude to time usage, materials, and supplies.
