Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with Medical Equipment or maintaining / repairing equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated ability to follow protocols and processes relating to equipment maintenance.
• Two years of experience in clinical engineering or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Education: Associate of Applied Science Degree or Biomedical Technician Certificate is preferred.

Performs various tasks associated with installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a limited scope of clinical equipment under the guidance and/or direct supervision of an experienced peer or supervisor. Serves in a variety of job-specific roles and clinical environments including but not limited to Hospitals & Clinics, Surgical Centers, Home Healthcare, Dialysis Centers, Central Processing Departments, Clinical Laboratory, Information Technology or the Repair Depot Service Center.

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
• Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
• May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs.
• For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
• Minimum Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications
