Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Operations Manager-Clinical Engineering to oversee biomedical technicians and the preventive maintenance program across the department. The role focuses on supervising, coaching, and ensuring quality of service and proper repair of clinical equipment.

Responsibilities include evaluating problems, coordinating with outside service providers when needed, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of seven years progressive experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the repair and maintenance activities performed by clinical engineering staff.
• Supervises and coaches the clinical engineering staff on an ongoing basis.
• Inspects completed work; assures that work is completed properly.
• Verifies reported equipment problems and determines how best to resolve, including outside service providers.
• Maintains and improves process efficiency and quality of service.
• Acts as a technical resource to staff for repair and maintenance on selected equipment.
• Ensures compliance with significant regulatory and accreditation requirements related to equipment maintenance.
