Job summary

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Directs CE Department operations, meeting SLA deliverables and reviewing KPIs with hospital leadership.
  • Develops and implements medical device security programs with key stakeholders across all sites.
  • Creates and enforces policies and procedures for fully compliant CE programs at each site.
  • Ensures departmental financial performance meets or exceeds budget, including multi-site service strategies and staff training.
  • Manages direct reports effectively, fostering professional growth and handling employee matters.
  • Oversees financial operations, approves expenses, and manages team performance (goals, reviews, staffing).

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Engineering Manager you willspearhead the operational management of one or more Clinical Engineering (CE) Departments, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering a cost-effective program that constantly exceeds quality and financial expectations. You'll drive an aggressive CE program focused on reducing maintenance costs, extending equipment life cycles, and providing unparalleled customer service, all while adhering to CommonSpirit Health's National Clinical Engineering Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators. This leadership position is central to establishing our CE program as a valued, trusted subject matter expert for pre-purchase evaluations and strategic life cycle asset management.

Every day you willdirect overall CE department operations, consistently meeting or exceeding all SLA deliverables and engaging hospital leadership teams through comprehensive Monthly Operational Reviews to discuss CE's KPI results. You will cultivate crucial synergies with key stakeholders, including System Medical Device Security Operations, System IT, Clinical Department leadership, and Original Equipment Manufacturers, to implement robust medical device security programs for networked medical devices across all sites. Furthermore, you will develop and ensure the implementation of site‑specific policies and procedures to guarantee a fully compliant CE program, guiding your teams to achieve superior financial performance and support CommonSpirit Health's financial health through advanced multi‑site service strategies and strategic staff training plans.

To be successful in this role, you willpossess a proven track record in leading and directing CE operations, with demonstrated success in meeting SLA deliverables and driving financial performance that exceeds budget targets. Your expertise in developing and implementing medical device security programs and policy creation for regulatory compliance will be essential. Effective leadership and management of direct reports are critical, including fostering professional growth, managing employee matters, and ensuring accurate time and attendance.
