Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma seeks a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse Clinical Educator to coordinate and implement nursing education programs within the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

BSN is required with an active Oklahoma RN license; BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire and ACLS certification is required. Preferred MSN and 3–5 years nursing education experience, especially in Cardiac ICU/CVICU settings.

Qualifications

• BSN required; current, unrestricted OK RN license.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement Nursing Clinical Education Programs and Clinical Competence.
• Plan, organize and execute education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology.
• Assist in operation through teamwork, customer service, quality assurance, adherence to regulations, policy development.
• Collaborate with education team and facility leadership on hospital education initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• The Education Specialist is responsible for the Coordination and Implementation of Nursing Clinical Education Programs and Clinical Competence .
• This responsibility includes the planning, organization and execution of education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology.
• The individual assists in the effective operation through teamwork, customer service/satisfaction, quality assurance, adherence to legal and financial regulations, providing feedback and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as they apply to areas of responsibility.
• This i ndividual works collaborativel y with other members of the education team and facility leadership on global hospital education initiatives as directed.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current, unrestricted OK RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• 3-5 years of experience - nursing education experience
• Cardiac ICU, CVICU experience
