Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Clinical Educator. The role leads nursing education programs, builds clinical competency, and partners with the education team to advance patient care through training on new products and technologies.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, active Oklahoma RN license, and BLS; ACLS is required. A MSN and 3–5 years of nursing education experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN with active OK RN license.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement Nursing Clinical Education Programs and Clinical Competence.
• Plan, organize and execute education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology.
• Collaborate with education team and facility leadership on hospital-wide education initiatives.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
• The Education Specialist is responsible for the Coordination and Implementation of Nursing Clinical Education Programs and Clinical Competence .
• This responsibility includes the planning, organization and execution of education/training programs as identified through needs assessment, quality improvement, and implementation of new products and technology.
• The individual assists in the effective operation through teamwork, customer service/satisfaction, quality assurance, adherence to legal and financial regulations, providing feedback and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as they apply to areas of responsibility.
• This i ndividual works collaborativel y with other members of the education team and facility leadership on global hospital education initiatives as directed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current, unrestricted OK RN License

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• 3-5 years of experience - nursing education experience
