Qualifications

Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit & Pediatric Emergency Room Unit at the New Brunswick campus Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BSN
  • At least 5 years of Pediatric Nursing experience
  • National certification for clinical specialty
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

  • Pediatric Critical Care preferred
  • Clinical Education experience preferred
  • MSN or must be enrolled in MSN program nearing completion

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS and ACLS Certification
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements :

  • Day Shift
  • Monday – Friday with some weekend commitment required
  • FT

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and design orientation plan, develop and provide continuing education, provide in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines
  • Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs for the dedicated orientees
  • Develop and maintain employee records
  • Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division
  • Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice

RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit -PICU and Pediatric Emergency Room units at the New Brunswick campus

This is a full-time, day position with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday with some weekend commitment requirement 40 hours/week

Requirements/Qualifications:

-Sound PICU/Pediatric ER experience of at least 5 years

-Strong communication and organizational skills to support the units,

-Active NJ Registered Professional Nurse

-BSN required, MSN preferred or actively enrolled in an MSN program

-National certification for clinical specialty REQUIRED

-PALS, BLS and ACLS are required

-Proficient computer skills
