Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a part-time Clinical Educator to provide educational services in the Education Department. The role supports clinical staff through hands-on training and ongoing education programs in a hospital setting.

Primary duties include developing and implementing education plans, measuring training effectiveness, and collaborating with Nursing Directors to achieve patient care quality goals. BLS certification and RN licensure are mandatory; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by the State.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required.
• Minimum of 5 years acute care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years educational experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Educator provides educational services for areas of clinical expertise and patient care services to attain the Hospital’s objectives, mission and values.
• Implements an effective, ongoing training program to measure, assess and improve the quality of care, treatment and services delivered to all patients.
• Works collaboratively with Nursing Directors and regional team to provide educational services to staff.
