Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in cardiac/med-surg nursing.
  • AHA BLS and ACLS Provider required.

Job Summary

Job Overview:

Develops, implements and evaluates programs for orientation, competency assessment, training and continuing education for all levels of staff in the Med/Surg Cardiac Units. Provides support for clinical practice at point of care. Role models patient care practices through direct patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops, implements and evaluates programs for orientation, competency assessment, training and continuing education for all levels of staff on the cardiac units.
  2. Provides support for clinical practice at point of care.
  3. Role models patient care practices through direct patient care.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  2. Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  3. Minimum of three years experience in cardiac/med-surg nursing.
  4. Knowledge of principles of adult learning.
  5. Experience using an electronic health record, preferably Epic.
  6. Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively.
  7. Competent in use of all Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  9. AHA BLS and ACLS Provider required.
  10. National Nursing Certification required.
  11. If not certified at time of hire, expectation to receive certification within one year of hire.
  12. Current New Jersey RN license.

Schedule requirements:

Day shift 40 hours per week.
