Job summary

Altruistic Academy in Clearwater, FL is seeking an Electrolysis and Laser Technician to mentor students while continuing private-client services when available. The role starts part-time with potential to grow into full-time based on performance and demand.

You will supervise students during clinical hours, ensure safety, and manage treatment records within a dual-role setting across the student spa and Altruistic Aesthetics.

Qualifications

• Active Florida electrologist license.
• Minimum of three years in professional hair removal.
• Hands-on proficiency in needle-type electrolysis and laser hair removal.
• Legally qualified to perform laser/light-based services in Florida.
• Documentation of training on laser/light-based devices.
• Strong probe-selection and insertion skills.
• Ability to supervise students safely and professionally.
• Excellent client-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during scheduled electrolysis and laser hours.
• Maintain awareness of student activity and client safety.
• Work under the Lead Clinical Educator’s direction.
• Guide students through consultations, screening, treatment planning, and aftercare.
• Review student treatment plans and equipment settings.
• Assist with probe selection, insertion technique, and patient comfort.
• Ensure sanitation, laser safety, and privacy procedures are followed.
• Observe student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Document student progress and competencies.
• Assist with evaluations and skills checkoffs when authorized.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
• Report adverse reactions or unsafe practices immediately.
• Escalate concerns to the Lead Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a calm, professional student-spa environment.
