Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred.
• One year teaching ED/BD children and/or adolescents preferred.
• Valid PEL, Illinois teaching certificate required; Special Education certification preferred.
• Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for a special education population.
• Ability to establish therapeutic relationships and manage groups.

Responsibilities

• Participates in ongoing educational assessments of patients.
• Provides instruction in a structured classroom setting.
• Develops interventions for patients unable to function in the classroom.
• Assists in curriculum development and treatment planning.
