Job summary

Mount St. Mary's Hospital in New York is seeking a full-time EMR End User Support Specialist to provide daily support for the EMR clinical system, interact with clinicians, and perform rounds to answer questions and ensure proper use.

You will assist with EMR updates, chart reviews, training, and collaboration with hospital staff across disciplines. A NY RN license and BLS are required; travel among CHS sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse must be licensed in New York State.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing currently registered in New York State.
• BLS validation and revalidation per AHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide end user support for the EMR clinical system to clinical staff.
• Perform regular rounds to answer questions and improve EMR use.
• Communicate updates and implementations of EMR changes.
• Support chart reviews and adherence to clinical standards.
• Assist providers with EMR modifications and related processes.

Work Schedule: Days with Rotation

Hours: 7:00a-3:30p with occasional nights to provide education.

Summary:

Responsibilities include the end user support of Catholic Health's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for the clinical system. Interacts directly with clinical associates and managers by making regular rounds in order to answer questions, improve correct use of, and comprehension of the EMR clinical system. Communicates changes, updates, and additional implementations of the EMRclinical system. Supports the correct, efficient, and standardized use of clinical systems appropriate to their job duties. Supports management in chart reviews, associate adherence to clinical standards, and best practices with regard to the use of the EMRclinical system. Provides support to providers in the adoption of EMRclinical system modifications and processes related to technology changes.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• Registered Nurse must be currently licensed in New York State.


• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing currently registered in New York State.


• BLS validation and revalidation in accordance to AHA standards.

Experience

• Clinical experience strongly preferred

• Outstanding and proven skills to interact directly with clinical customers in a face-to-face live environment


• Knowledge of clinical processes and operations


• Technical knowledge of EMR computer applications preferred


• Good verbal and written communications skills

• Ability to establish good working relationships with hospital staff at all levels, including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff, and clinical management

• Ability and means to travel among CHS sites, including a valid NYS driver's license
