Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Clinical Educator to support the Emergency Department, Short-term Observation and float pool.

You will educate nurses and health professionals, lead and mentor staff, and apply the nursing process to plan and manage care. This full-time Day shift position emphasizes evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; MSN or actively enrolled in MSN program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• Certifications aligned with area of responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance, and applies nursing process, to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education, and continuum of care planning.
• Leads, delegates and serves as a mentor to others on the team.
• Provides formal and informal education for nurses and other health professionals/students.
• Oversees: Float Pool nurses and CNA Short stay observation nurses Support ED nurses and techs

The Clinical Educator works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Emergency Department, Short-term Observation and the float pool to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. This position is a great opportunity to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally and spiritually. Must be authorized to work in the United States without work visa or sponsorship.
