Job description

Overview

Responsible for clinical, consultative, and educational activities that identify and facilitate processes to address the learning needs of staff and the community. Accountable for developing, monitoring, and teaching aspects such as clinical orientation, policies and procedures, PBDS rating, and other staff development opportunities. Collaborates closely with clinical departments to ensure quality training.

Qualifications

Education required: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing with current Alabama licensure.

License, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Alabama Nursing licensure required. Advanced nursing education/certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience required. Management or instructor experience within the past three years is preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support instructor status are preferred. Experience with the Performance Based Development System and hospital clinical computer documentation system is preferred. Experience in curriculum development for classes is also preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking. High organizational skills, especially in time management and tracking course details and paperwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and adapting to changing tasks. Proficiency in computer, word processing, spreadsheet software, fax, copy machine, and multi-line telephone usage.
