Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a Clinical Donation Associate in Orlando to respond to organ donation referrals on-site within our service area. You will perform initial suitability screening and round with ICU teams to coordinate donation plans.

In this role you will support the Organ Procurement Coordinator, communicate clearly with hospital staff, and help coordinate donation huddles to ensure timely actions and high-quality family care. US-based, day shifts, full-time position.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of critical care patients is required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work long hours under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with MS Office or EHRs is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • SHIFT: 40-hour, 3 shifts a week position with a mandatory bimonthly meeting
  • The clinical donation associate responds on site to organ donation referrals within our service area (Brevard, Flagler, Indian River, Lake, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties).
  • Responds promptly to all donor referrals and performs initial suitability screening.
  • Rounds on all referrals and manages relationships with ICU physicians and nurses.
  • Assists the Organ Procurement Coordinator and team leader with referral-related activities.
  • Coordinates donation huddles to communicate donation action plans. Evaluates patients for organ and tissue donation suitability.
  • Communicates donation plans to hospital and OPO staff.
