MultiCare is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist RN to improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation. This role involves extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff and coding staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement for the level of service rendered.

This professional position requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, active RN license, and 5 years of ER/critical care experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Licensed RN in WA or MLS.
  • 5 years ER/CC clinical experience in hospital setting.
  • Utilization review or clinical documentation experience preferred.

Responsabilités

  • Improve quality and completeness of clinical documentation.
  • Facilitate modifications through interaction with physicians, nursing staff, and coding staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
  • Apply organizational and interpretive skills to policies, procedures and programs.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with care teams to support accurate coding and documentation.

This position is responsible for the facilitation of modifications to clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, and coding staff to ensure that appropriate reimbursement is received for the level of service rendered to all patients. This is a professional level position requiring organization and interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies, procedures and programs. This position also requires a clinical background, independence, and strong facilitation and analytical skills. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $109,006.56 - $177,821.28 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
