As a Clinical Documentation Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the quality and accuracy of inpatient medical records. Collaborating with physicians and staff, you'll ensure proper documentation for coding, risk, and severity assessments.

If you are an RN, PA, NP, Foreign Medical Graduate, or MD, with the following experiences, licenses, and certifications, APPLY NOW!

Education and Certifications

  • Nursing: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN license.
  • NP or PA: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or Nursing from an AANP or ANCC accredited school.
  • Health Information Management Certification: RHIT or RHIA certification accredited by CAHIIM.

Work Experience:

  • RN: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting. At least 2 years as a Clinical Documentation Specialist. Alternatively, 3 years of CDI or relevant clinical experience may be considered.
  • PA or NP: Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting, with at least 2 years as a Clinical Documentation Specialist. Alternatively, 3 years of CDI or relevant clinical experience may be considered.
  • Other Advanced Clinical Degrees (e.g., MD): Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting. Preferably 2 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement experience.

Position Details

  • Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday.
  • Location: Fully Remote (reside or relocate to MD, DC, VA, PA, DE, or FL within 90 days of hire).

Salary Range: $34.11 - $56.34 per hour. Compensation will be based on experience and role scope. Salary discussions may occur during screening if the range is not specified.
