Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton, NC is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist to ensure accuracy and integrity of our clinical documentation. You will play a key role in improving patient care, supporting compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency within a teaching hospital environment.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years acute-care hospital experience as a Documentation Specialist or Inpatient Coder.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years acute-care hospital experience as Documentation Specialist or Inpatient Coder.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CDIP/ACDIS CCDS credentials required within 24 months of hire.
• Licensed RN preferred but must have coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of clinical documentation processes.
• Contribute to compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Support operational efficiency through documentation optimization.
