Clinical Documentation Integrity Auditor (Remote based in US)

The CDI Auditor is responsible for performing audits on CDIS reviews of inpatient encounters to clarify provider documentation and ensure accurate and complete documentation specificity. The position requires proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, a broad clinical knowledge base, and the ability to critically analyze the CDI process.

**Minimum Requirements:**

  • Ability to accurately audit clinical documentation of inpatient encounters
  • Ability to create clear audit reports and maintain productivity
  • Understanding of coding guidelines, anatomy, physiology, and coding references
  • Knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG classifications
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, EMR, and Iodine
  • Ability to conduct online meetings and report findings
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Time management and discipline
  • Experience working in a virtual environment
  • Five years of CDI experience in an acute care setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare (RN, MBBS, RHIA)
  • CCDS, CDIP, or coding certification
