Job summary

Center For Discovery in Shawnee, KS seeks a Clinical Director to lead the clinical program, supervise therapists, and ensure high-quality care for patients with eating disorders. The role centers on treatment oversight, team coordination, and ensuring adherence to the organization's mission.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant field, licensure for supervision, and at least two years of ED experience, with CPI and ServSafe certifications within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in relevant field, required.
• License, and ability to provide clinical supervision, required.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with eating disorders, required.
• Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
• Obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire
• Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure quality of clinical aspects of the program and initiate improvements.
• Lead weekly treatment team meetings for consistent communication and team approach.
• Assist in admission processes and ensure access to care for those seeking services.
• Train new clinical employees within scope and coordinate with clinical team.
• Provide supervision and oversight of therapists and clinical staff.
• Conduct 90-day and annual performance reviews and growth plans for therapists.
• Manage clinical staff schedules for appropriate clinical presence.
• Ensure mandated trainings and ongoing supervision align with Discovery standards.
• Oversee utilization reviews and ensure patient stays are properly authorized.
• Maintain patient caseload and assign cases to therapists.
• Lead 3-4 process groups weekly and oversee other groups.
• Communicate with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care.
• Participate in outreach and community relationship management.
• Facilitate transfers to higher levels of care and discharge planning.
• Participate in clinical outreach and tours.
• Facilitate Multi-Family, Family Program or Family Weekend.
• Supervise therapists and provide clinical consultation.
• RTC On-call support 1x per month with timely phone response.
