Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers Tysons/Vienna, VA is opening a brand-new outpatient clinic and seeks a Founding Clinical Director who wants to shape a premier patient-centered program.

Lead the clinical team, mentor PTs, partner with ownership on operations and growth, and deliver evidence-based care across balance, vestibular, and orthopedic rehab in a Monday–Friday schedule with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with an active Virginia PT license or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure.
• 2+ years of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, with leadership or management exposure encouraged.
• Interest in orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, and balance rehabilitation; strong mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with an active outpatient caseload and delivery of evidence-based care.
• Recruit, mentor, and coach PTs and PTAs as the practice grows.
• Shape patient experience through scheduling, access, and care coordination.
• Drive clinical excellence with documentation standards and outcome-focused programs.
• Develop specialty programs and expand FYZICAL balance and vestibular services.
• Collaborate with ownership on clinical strategy, staffing, and long-term growth.
• Build relationships with physicians, referral partners, and the local community.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $100,000–$115,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Performance-Based Bonus: Meaningful bonus opportunity tied to clinical excel-lence, patient experience, team development, and clinic performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead by Example: Maintain an active outpatient caseload while delivering excep-tional, evidence-based care and setting the standard for clinical excellence.
• Build and Develop Your Team: Help recruit, mentor, and coach PTs and PTAs as the practice grows, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and accountable culture.
• Shape the Patient Experience: Partner with the front-office team to optimize scheduling, patient access, care coordination, and the journey from evaluation through discharge.
• Drive Clinical Excellence: Establish high standards for documentation, compli-ance, patient outcomes, and consistent execution of FYZICAL clinical programs.
• Develop Specialty Programs: Build expertise in FYZICAL's balance and vestibular programs and help expand these capabilities within the clinic.
• Guide Clinic Performance: Use patient outcomes and operational KPIs to identify opportunities, improve workflows, and support sustainable practice growth.
• Connect with the Community: Build relationships with physicians, referral part-ners, and the local community alongside our Physician Liaison.
• Partner with Ownership: Collaborate on clinical strategy, staffing, culture, and the long-term direction of the practice.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a clinically strong, collaborative, and motivated PT who is excited about helping build something new.

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with an active Virginia PT li-cense, valid Virginia compact privilege, or eligibility to obtain appropriate authoriza-tion before starting.
• 2+ years of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.
• Previous clinical leadership or management experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to independently evaluate patients, establish plans of care, and manage clin-ical treatment and discharge decisions.
• Virginia direct-access certification preferred, or willingness and eligibility to obtain it.
• Interest in orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, and balance rehabilitation.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and a commitment to mentoring and de-veloping others.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for patient care, and a desire to shape a posi-tive clinic culture.
