Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Salary & Benefits: Dependent on experience. Benefits begin 30 days after employment on the first of the month and include medical coverage ($60/month employee contribution), dental, life insurance, and long-term disability. Position Overview

The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing the capacity, standards, quality assurance, utilization review, and grants/contract management of all clinical, counseling, and case management programs. This role provides direct clinical and administrative supervision and consultation to assigned staff and contributes to the financial stability of the agency. As a key member of the Management Team, the Clinical Director helps guide the strategic direction and service delivery of the agency. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director collaborates with other managers to ensure smooth agency operations.

Administrative and Personnel Management

• Supervise all clinical, counseling, and case management programs.
• Monitor programs and oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for funders.
• Recommend staffing levels and client capacities while attending relevant meetings.
• Recruit, screen, interview, orient, and train program staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Supervise and evaluate assigned staff and interns, providing weekly or biweekly supervision as needed.
• Ensure adherence to agency policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Participate in agency-wide and management team meetings, as well as Board meetings as needed.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting professional development and staff morale.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with other agencies for referrals, resources, and service coordination.
• Work with the Finance and Executive Director to develop and manage the annual budget.
• Identify and secure funding sources to support program implementation and agency sustainability.
• Engage in community outreach, education, and advocacy, as well as program planning and development.
• Oversee ongoing clinical staff meetings and teaming processes.
• Assist the Executive Director in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Program Coordination and Management

• Maintain and uphold professional standards and agency/governmental policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely case record documentation in compliance with WAC, state, and King County requirements.
• Oversee culturally responsive service delivery that focuses on clients’ strengths and competencies.
• Review referrals, monitor client participation and progress, and conduct file reviews as needed.
• Ensure staff maintain professional boundaries with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Enhance the agency’s visibility and credibility within the community.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies for referrals and collaboration.
• Provide staff consultation and review service coordination to optimize client outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with credentialing and licensing requirements for all direct service staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or a related field with at least five years of post-master’s clinical experience.
• Experience working with at-risk youth, families, and diverse populations.
• Prior supervisory experience demonstrating the ability to manage programs, budgets, and staff.
• Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
• Required licensure in social work or a related field, along with necessary supervisory certifications.
• MHP and CMHS certifications required; EMMHS certification preferred.
• Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and assist with strategic planning.
• Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative, adaptability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with community resources and service providers.
