Job summary

Merraine Group seeks an experienced Clinical Director to lead clinical operations and patient care in a growing home health setting. You will partner with executive leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, drive quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed healthcare professional in the State of Colorado (or Compact State).
  • Active licensure as RN, PT, or OT is required.
  • Current CPR certification, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction for all clinical operations and patient care services.
  • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise clinical practice and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve clinical concerns, complaints, and quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to reach organizational goals.

The Clinical Director provides strategic and operational leadership for multidisciplinary clinical services while partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and organizational success. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical expertise with operational acumen, a commitment to quality care, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Quality Management
  • Provide oversight and direction for all clinical operations and patient care services.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise clinical practice and evaluate the effectiveness of individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and continually assess the quality and effectiveness of services provided.
  • Investigate and resolve clinical concerns, complaints, and quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in agency-wide quality improvement and performance management initiatives.
Team Development & Supervision
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, develop, and retain qualified clinical and staff.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Lead staff education initiatives, in-service training programs, and competency development activities.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and patient-focused culture across the organization.
Collaboration & Community Engagement
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, referral sources, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Participate in agency meetings, strategic planning initiatives, marketing efforts, and community outreach activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
  • Licensed healthcare professional in the State of Colorado (or Compact State), including:
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of home health or home care experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or management experience.
  • For skilled nursing oversight, must possess at least two (2) years of nursing experience, including one (1) year in home health or a closely related healthcare setting.
  • Current CPR certification, as applicable.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Experience with accreditation surveys, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement programs.
  • Strong knowledge of home health reimbursement models, documentation standards, and operational best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of home health regulations and standards of practice.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, staff, and community partners.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
