Job summary

Solaris Health is seeking a Clinical Director to oversee and optimize all clinical operations across multiple facilities. You will lead the operations team, ensure regulatory compliance, staffing, patient flow and safety, and collaborate with physicians and HR on initiatives.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure, a nursing degree, and at least 5 years in health administration, with experience in urology settings preferred. Travel between facilities is required.

Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Clinical Director oversees, directs, manages and analyzes all operational activity. The Clinical Director collaborates with the other members of the clinical operations team on improving operational practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises the leadership team manager as well as collaborating on various projects.
  • Directs all activities including appropriate scheduling, adequate staffing, managing patient flow, ensuring efficient clinical operations, and maintaining safety and security measures of the facility.
  • Works closely with VP of Operations on pilot projects and initiatives that develop standards and protocols to optimize operations and improve access, utilization, and services to patients.
  • Develops annual program goals and objectives for the facility.
  • Works with leadership in budget preparation and modification.
  • Ensures that the clinical programs conform to policies and standards set by the company as well as by state, local and federal authorities.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, on-ongoing supervision/progressive discipline and evaluation of all clinic staff. Assists the Human Resources Department in the recruitment, retention, and evaluation of appropriate staff.
  • Collaborates with Administrative Support Teams developing a cohesive relationship to maintain positive relationships and culture with all team members.
  • Assess the educational needs of staff and assists in their goals for continued professional development.
  • Development of action plans in response to patient and staff surveys and performance metrics as needed. Assists with training downline team members on the targets and metrics.
  • Meets monthly with physicians to discuss current issues, patient experience and financial performance of the practice. Documents physician meeting discussions.
  • Assures compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and AHCA as well as maintaining proper licensure, logs and records as needed per city and county.
  • Develops action plans for each practice that needs to improve or maintain performance levels - examples could be but are not limited to patient satisfaction, Physician engagement, employee turnover, Star ratings, financial performance, etc.
  • Responsible for the routine business and clinical functions of the practices while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.
  • Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • RN license and certification as required by state.

  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledgeable of sterilization processes of instruments.

  • Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions.
  • Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates the ability to include evidence-based practice standards for care delivery in their area of specialty.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations related to physician offices and relationships between physicians and hospitals.
  • Experience with direct oversight of multiple practice locations.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 5 years of related experience in administration and/or health. Urology experience preferred.
REQUIRED TRAVEL
  • Travel between facilities required.
