Job summary

ACES is seeking a Clinical Director in the Chandler East area to drive clinical excellence and regional growth. The role oversees staff performance, service quality, and program implementation with a minimum workload across supervisors and clients, reporting to the Regional Director.

The CD leads utilization management, supervision, and culture initiatives, while collaborating with clinical and administrative departments to ensure policy compliance and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize utilization management reviews and problem solving with supervisors to optimize office utilization.
  • Join supervisors monthly during rides and field visits to provide feedback and support.
  • Collaborate on monitoring and improving QPI, and assist with supervision responsibilities.
  • Monitor SV billable standards, review numbers, and assign hours as needed.
  • Develop and monitor SV caseload loads and capacity; coordinate credentialing and transfers.
  • Manage BT/RBT needs, organize study sessions, and support retention.
  • Oversee Billing/Documentation audits and develop intervention plans for staff performance.
  • Conduct 1:1 and group supervision meetings; oversee hiring and promotions processes.
  • Communicate expectations and support department collaboration across ACES.
  • Lead Culture Team and participate in community outreach to grow the region.
  • Oversee in-clinic services driving capacity, clinical program oversight, and initiative implementation.

Location: Chandler-East

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $117,000-$122,000 annually + additional bonus incentives

Job Mission

The mission of the Clinical Director at ACES is to elevate the standards in the treatment of Autism by managing the effective and efficient implementation of services provided by staff members.

Job Summary

The Clinical Director (“CD”) is primarily responsible for the overall growth and well-being of their assigned office location or region(s) with a minimum of 100 hours per day across a span of a minimum of 8 supervisors and 80 clients under the direction of the Executive Team. The CD is responsible for monitoring staff and clients to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, oversee quality of services, support continuous improvement, and provide direction and accountability of staff’s performance. This position helps to create and support a positive relationship between ACES staff and clients, and across ACES staff from both clinical and administrative departments. This position reports to the Regional Director.

Job Responsibilities
  • Utilization Management: Conduct Daily and weekly reviews and problem solving with supervisors of client utilization for collective office and at individual client level. Champion and lead office wide initiatives to increase and maintain optimal utilization.
  • Conducting Ride-Alongs: Join supervisors monthly during natural supervisory visits in field or clinic to provide general feedback and support on the case and supervisory responsibilities.
  • QPI Monitoring and Collaboration: Join supervisors monthly during visits in field or clinic to provide feedback and support on the case and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Monitoring SV billable Standards: Collect exceptions and PTO requests, examining monthly summary numbers, regularly review planners and PBI dashboard, assign hours as needed, develop goals and intervention plans as necessary, monitor Associate Clinical Supervisor ratio compliance
  • Developing and monitoring SV cases loads and capacity: Update SV Capacity sheet, assisting in monitoring credentialing, assigning distribution of caseload by time of day, region, qualifications, facilitating case transfers as needed, communicate SV needs to Recruiting
  • BT/RBT management: Update RBT documentation as necessary, organize RBT "parties" and group study sessions, communicate board issues, assist in organizing competency exams. Assess and Monitor BT/ RBT needs and implement retention protocols.
  • Billing/Doc: Monitor Billing to doc data note audits at 1:1s, billing to doc monthly summary data, develop and execute intervention plans on low performing staff
  • Supervisor management: Conduct 1:1 meeting’s with supervisors, organize and conduct monthly group supervisors meeting including CEU facilitation, evaluate and request pay increases for staff, implement disciplinary procedures with staff, conduct interviews for New Hire or promotional applicants. Assign initial caseloads, conduct initial and ongoing supervisor training needs.
  • Communicating Expectations and supporting Department: Hold staff accountable to expectations from supporting departments. Promote positivity, flexibility and trust when changes occur. Develop a teamwork environment and provide support to all departments at ACES (e.g., Front Office, ZenDesk, Clinical, Recruiting, Training, Client Onboarding, etc).
  • Lead Culture Team: Establish an effective culture team with guidance from ACES leadership team. Make immediate decisions if and when appropriate. Delegate and elevate issues appropriately. Support and participate in culture initiatives, such as Autism Awareness Month, BI appreciation month, etc. Community Outreach: CDs will engage in outreach projects to support the growth of their region by meeting with physician groups, creating partnerships with schools and service providers (e.g. local SLPs and OTs), and connecting and maintain relationships with local parent groups.
  • In Clinic Services Oversight: CDs will be primary drivers of in clinic services for their regions where applicable. This will include capacity determination, clinical program oversight and implementation of initiatives to promote in clinic services.
