Job summary

Vibra Healthcare seeks a Registered Dietitian responsible for delivering quality nutritional care to patients, both hospitalized and ambulatory. This role involves conducting nutritional assessments, making dietary recommendations, and providing patient education. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and possess a valid state license. Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Nutrition from an ACEND accredited program required.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsible for the quality of nutritional care provided to both hospitalized and ambulatory patients. Performs nutritional assessments/evaluations and makes dietary recommendations. Provides patient counseling and education. Develops nutritional care, and monitors and implements changes as appropriate. Implements nutrition therapy orders and verifies implementation of orders. Monitors and evaluates patient’s adherence to,acceptance of, and tolerance for prescribed nutrition therapy. Re-evaluates/updates nutrition care on a regular basis. Accountable for the planning and directing of the nutrition office.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an ACEND accredited program required.
  • Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required. If state licensure and/or certification is not state mandated must be credentialed bythe Commission on Dietetic Registration

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum two (1) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor.
  • Knowledge in modern principles and practices of dietetics preferred.
  • Knowledge in safety and sanitation standards applicable to hospital food service preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor.
