Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Eugene, Oregon seeks a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) at GS-11 level to provide comprehensive nutrition care. Responsibilities include utilizing the Nutrition Care Process, applying evidence-based practices, and delivering patient-centered goals.

Experience with geriatric patients and the ability to conduct home visits is preferred. Applicants must meet VA qualifications and English language proficiency requirements.

Qualifications

RDN credential obtained from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required and education standards must be met.
Educational evaluation may be required for foreign degrees per ACEND® standards.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation.
Interpret research to apply evidence-based nutrition practices to improve patient outcomes.
Develop patient-centered goals and monitor progress.
Analyze data for performance improvement studies.
Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory authorities.
