Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Nutrition professional to assess, plan, and implement nutrition therapy for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in educational activities to advance clinical practice.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in nutrition, RD eligibility or current RD registration, Florida licensure or temporary licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition required.
• Current Registration with CDR or RD eligible with successful registration within 6 months of hire date.
• Temporary Florida licensure required if not currently licensed in the State of Florida.
• BLS Certification required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; hospital dietitian experience during externship accepted.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and reassessment of assigned patients using established standards of care; set goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team planning and coordination of care.
• Provide education in-services and presentations as needed.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and billing in the EMR with accuracy.

Provides care for inpatient and/ or outpatient caseload. Occasional weekend and/ or holiday coverage if staffing needs warrant. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team regarding the needs of the patient. Opportunities to contribute to presentations, publications, supervision of students/ interns, and execution of departmental education efforts which will contribute to advancement in the Clinical Ladder.Responsibilities:Complete assessments and reassessment of assigned patients in accordance to established standards of care and practice including selecting assessment tools, tests and measures, goal setting, etc.Participate in interdisciplinary team planning and coordination of care.Participate in education in-services, presentations, etc., as needed.Accurately performs documentation on each evaluation and treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges.Credentials and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in nutritionCurrent Registration with CDR or RD eligible with successful registration within 6 months of hire date.Temporary Florida licensure required if not currently licensed in the State of FloridaBLS CertificationOne year of clinical experience preferred. Clinical experience in an acute care hospital during Dietitian externship will be accepted.Salary Range$63,377.60 - $96,699.20Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
