Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for a per diem role with weekday hours, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. You will oversee nutrition care delivery and participate in nutrition-focused rounds and audits while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science in dietetics, IL licensure as a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, and RD registration, with strong communication, computer, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required in dietetics or related field.
• Illinois license as Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist and RD registration required.
• Strong communication, computer and writing skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the delivery of nutrition care to assigned patients.
• Identify patients at malnutrition risk and perform nutrition assessments.
• Document all aspects of nutrition care electronically.
• Plan and evaluate enteral nutrition prescriptions and coordinate parenteral nutrition.
• Make recommendations for optimal nutrition care delivery.
• Instruct patients or families on modified diets.
• Attend rounds and meetings as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement audits and projects.

Hourly Pay Range:

$31.06 - $46.59 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Clinical Dietitian
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Per diem, scheduled as needed
• Hours: Weekday availability required, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, with rotating holidays
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Oversee the delivery of nutrition care to assigned patients.
• Identifies patients that are at malnutrition risk; performs nutrition assessments based on pertinent medical, laboratory and patient interview data, provides diet therapy and counseling, performs Nutrition Focused Physical Examination, participates in Enteral Nutrition Support Team for dobhoff tube placement and Metabolic Monitoring Team.
• Electronically documents all aspects of nutrition care.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates enteral nutrition prescriptions specific to individual patient nutrition and metabolic requirements; works with Parenteral Nutrition Support Team to coordinate care for assigned patients requiring parenteral nutrition.
• Makes recommendations regarding optimal delivery of nutrition care.
• Instructs patients or patient’s family on modified diets.
• Attends special meetings and rounds as assigned.
• Assists with quality improvement audits and projects.

What you will need:

• Education : Bachelor of Science degree
• Certification/License : Current Illinois State license as a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. Current registration as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Unique or preferred skill s: Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary medical team. Computer and writing skills.
