Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Clinical Dietitian in Naperville (LOH-Naperville) to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans. You will assess nutritional needs, estimate requirements, and provide management for all ages, updating plans as conditions change.

You will counsel patients and families on prescribed diets and may lead meal planning for the Eating Disorder Program, ensuring seven-day meal coverage and collaboration with food service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Six months of Eating Disorder and/or Diabetes experience preferred.
• Current IL Dietitian Nutritionist licensure within 90 days of start date.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
• CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Clinical Dietitian
• Location: LOH-Naperville
• Per Diem Hours: As needed

What you will do:

• Develops and implements a care plan based on assessment of nutritional needs.
• Utilizes relevant data and appropriate methods for estimating nutritional requirements.
• Provides effective nutritional management for all age groups.
• Updates the plan of care as needed based on changes in the patient’s medical condition.
• Counsels patients, families and/or groups on prescribed diets in an individualized manner, utilizing a variety of educational materials.
• Assumes primary responsibility in the Eating Disorder Program for patient meal planning, nutritional snacks, meal preparation and cooking.
• Insures that meal plans/dietary cards are prepared for patients 7 days a week.
• May participate in multi-family meals and co-facilitate nutrition education groups for patients and families.
• Works closely with Food Service Management in the design and implementation of balanced meal plans for identified client base that includes Diabetic, Anorexic, Bulimic and Obese.
• Contributes to the nutrition-specific educational training of professional staff, colleagues, support staff, students and community when required.
• Participates in activities that enhance professional growth and development, keeping abreast in given fields of Nutrition, Diabetes, and Eating Disorders.

What you will need:

• Education, Experience and/or Skills Required: A Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
• Education, Experience and/or Skills Preferred: A minimum of six months of Eating Disorder and/or Diabetes experience
• License/Certification Required: Current State of Illinois Dietitian Nutritionist licensure (LDN) within ninety days of start date into position.
• License/Certification Required: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential (RDN)
• License/Certification Required: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• License/Certification Required: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
