Under the supervision of Senior Clinical Dietitian Specialists and the Clinical Nutrition Director/Supervisor, and in accordance with policies and standards of practice, provides nutritional care to hospital patients at Brown University Health. Responsibilities include interviewing patients and/or family members, reviewing electronic health records to assess nutritional needs, developing nutrition plans of care, monitoring and evaluating outcomes, documenting progress, and directing support personnel as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field from an ACEND-accredited institution, completed supervised practice, and passed the RDN exam or scheduled to do so. Must obtain Rhode Island Dietitian/Nutritionist license within 3 months of hire. Knowledge of nutrition principles, ability to develop care plans, and strong communication skills required. Experience of 1-2 years as a Clinical Dietitian preferred. Proficient in MS Office preferred. No supervisory responsibilities. This is a per diem position at Rhode Island Hospital, with a shift 1 schedule, non-union.
