Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nutrition Care professional to direct and provide nutrition care through assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring. You will educate patients and staff, document plans, and help develop tools to improve nutrition services across the organization.

The role emphasizes adherence to professional standards, comprehensive assessments, and ongoing care optimization within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition required.
• RD/RDN certification or eligible within 6 months of hire.
• LDN/license eligible and must obtain within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develops, documents, and monitors the nutritional plan of care.
• Provides education and/or educational programs for patients and staff.
• Performs documentation and completes reports according to procedures.
• Develops, implements, and monitors tools to maintain and improve nutrition care.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition

Master’s Degree (preferred)
