Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Irmo is seeking a dedicated dietitian to promote health through personalized nutrition plans, assess nutritional needs, develop dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating.

You will work with the care team to document in medical records, monitor nutrition status, and support post-discharge plans. Must have licensure and registration in good standing.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• State licensure required.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited program in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Document information in the medical record per established standards.
• Implement nutritional care plans and adapt menus for patients.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy.
• Communicate with physicians and other care team members.
