Job summary

Corewell Health's Troy Hospital is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide direct patient care using the Nutrition Care Process across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The RD coordinates Medical Nutrition Therapy, documents care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality nutrition services while teaching interns. This part-time position offers a daytime schedule and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
• A practitioner with a level of knowledge, skills and experience in dietetics practice necessary to be competent as a Registered Dietitian professional.
• CRT-Registered Dietitian (RD) - CDR Commission on Dietetic Registration 180 Days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross- 1 year
• Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform Nutrition Care Process and Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate for high quality patient care.
• Documents and maintain records according to the SOP for the RDN, legislation, regulations and organization policies.
• Precepts and teaches dietetic interns and other students, such as medical students.
• Collaborate with Manager, Nutrition Services at least 4 hours every 60 days.
• Maintain clinical productivity standards and accurate record keeping of daily clinical activities, including information for scheduling and billing.
• Interact with the interdisciplinary team to advocate for patient care and support a culture of nutrition.
• Coordinate services related to Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients.
• Contribute to and engage in improving department and organizational metrics.
• Engage in communication with the media on issues related to the focus area or other advanced clinical areas.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Registered Dietitian (RD) - CRT (CDR)

BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
