Provides appropriate medical nutrition therapy goals for patients throughout the organization. Educates patients regarding their diet/nutrition plan for discharge when needed. Serves as a nutrition resource to physicians, nursing staff, and other health care team members. Participates in patient care rounds.
Bachelors in Nutrition or Dietetics required. Masters preferred.
Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
If registration eligible, must past the dietetic registration exam within 6 months of hire. Licensure state of Pennsylvania within 6 months of hire. Position may be terminated if registration and/or Licensure is not achieved within the required timeframe.
