UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking a qualified dietitian to plan, coordinate, and implement nutrition therapy services for diverse patient populations. This onsite role emphasizes clinical assessment, diet planning, and collaboration with the care team.

In this PRN, dayshift position, you will evaluate nutritional status, diagnose nutrition-related needs, develop and monitor care plans, and provide education to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or related field.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and implements nutrition therapy services for assigned patient populations.
• Assesses patient's nutritional status and derives nutrition diagnoses from assessment data.
• Develops interventions and plan of care using best available evidence and practices.
• Monitors patient progress and measures outcomes; teaches patients and healthcare team as needed.
• Precepts and participates in departmental initiatives related to patient care.

Pay:$29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Plans, coordinates, and implements nutrition therapy services for assigned patient populations as a competent-level dietitian.

Responsibilities:
Assesses patient's nutritional status and needs, deriving nutrition diagnosis from assessment data.
Develops interventions and plan of care on best available evidence and best practices.
Assesses patient understanding and compliance with nutrition interventions and plan of care. Monitors patient progress; measures and evaluates patient outcomes.
Participates in and coordinates departmental initiatives relative to patient care. May conduct education programs for patients, physicians, nurses, and other health care team members/departments, and/or the public. Functions as a preceptor in support of the academic enterprise.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or related field.
• Required Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in Clinical Nutrition.
