UNC Health Nash in North Carolina is seeking a registered dietitian to join the NGH Dietary team. You will perform nutritional assessments, develop and evaluate nutrition plans, and collaborate with the attending physicians to deliver high-quality care.

This full-time onsite role requires NC licensure, a dietetics degree, and completed internship; new grads must be registered within 3 months. Standard hours are 36 per week with rotating schedule and onsite work.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's in Dietetics or Nutrition.
• Successful completion of and approved dietetic internship or and approved CUP program is preferred.
• Registration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Current North Carolina license to practice as a Dietitian.
• New Dietetic graduates employment is contingent upon being registered within 3 months of hire.

Aufgaben

• Assesses nutritional needs using standardized practice and critical thinking for assigned patients.
• Acts as a resource person for the specialty team and liaises between medical specialties and ancillary services.
• Assists in achieving compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, HFAP and other accrediting standards to improve safety and quality of care.
• Attends medical rounds, patient care conferences, and continuing education meetings; participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Develops, implements, and monitors nutrition care plans and participates in discharge planning; educates using behavioral techniques.
• May lead and manage the work within the department; documents nutrition care in the medical record; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Participates in training of clinical nutrition intern students as preceptors.
