Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to deliver comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized meal plans for residents with neurocognitive disorders. Qualifications

• Must have licensure with the State of NC as a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist.
• Master’s degree in foods and nutrition or related area from ACEND-accredited program and current CDR registration (or Bachelor's with two years clinical dietary experience).
• Licensure must be obtained prior to beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nutritional assessments and develop meal plans.
• Calculate tube feedings and document follow-ups for residents with neurocognitive disorders.
• Collaborate with the Dysphagia Team to determine diet and fluid consistencies and mealtime strategies.
• Manage assigned case load and participate in department meetings to ensure resident care.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
