Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to assess and monitor patients' nutritional status, provide medical nutrition therapy, and educate patients and families. The role involves collaboration with physicians and the nutrition team to integrate nutrition into overall patient care.

Requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree as applicable, and active or eligible RD licensure.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian licensure and state licensure as applicable.
• CDR registration must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor nutritional status of patients and adjust care accordingly.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and counseling to patients.
• Complete documentation including care plans, assessments and education.
• Coordinate nutrition with physicians and other caregivers.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate education materials for patients and families.
