Job summary

Solara Specialty Hospitals Harlingen is seeking a Registered Dietitian to plan and oversee patient nutrition care, ensuring adherence to federal, state and local guidelines. You will coordinate with Culinary Services for safe meal delivery and lead nutrition-focused initiatives within the LTAC setting.

The role requires a BD in Dietetics/Nutrition, active RD licensure, and 2+ years in acute care. Strong English communication, detail orientation, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Two years’ experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement patient nutrition care per standards.
• Assist in budgeting and QA initiatives for the department.
• Coordinate with Culinary Services Manager to ensure safe, accurate patient meals.
• Conduct nutrition assessments and care planning with interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families about nutrition and diet therapy.
