Encompass Health in Houston seeks a qualified Dietitian to promote health with personalized nutrition plans for inpatients. You will assess nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating and post-discharge diets.

You will monitor nutritional status, document in the medical record, and collaborate with physicians and other care team members to ensure nutrition care aligns with orders and patient goals.

Qualifikationen

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• State licensure required.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Communicate with and counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team for nutrition care.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document information in the patient's medical record per standards.
• Implement nutrition care plans, adapt menus, and assist with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and review menus for nutritional adequacy.
