Job Description

The Department of Food and Nutrition Services offers excellent food, nutrition care, and hospitality through innovation, technology, and a dedicated staff with clinical and culinary expertise.

Role Overview:
  1. Provides comprehensive nutrition care to assigned patients, including assessment, development, implementation, and re-evaluation of nutritional care plans.
  2. Provides coverage of all inpatient units.
  3. Refers patients to other services as needed.
  4. Counsels patients and/or caregivers about nutrition needs and procedures, and coordinates outpatient nutrition services.
  5. Develops and revises patient nutrition education materials.
  6. Trains staff as assigned.
Key Qualifications & Core Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition or related field; master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience.
  • At least one year in oncology or nutrition support preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, New York State.
Additional Information:

Location: 1275 York Avenue (Main Campus), Food & Nutrition Department

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8AM to 4PM, with rotating weekends and holidays

Report to: Inpatient Clinical Nutrition Manager

Pay Range: $75,500.00 - $116,900.00
