Position Summary

The Clinical Dietitian delivers direct, quality patient-centered care, with proficient clinical nutrition skill level and knowledge base. The RDN plans and delivers nutritional care of patients throughout the life cycle in accordance with the physicians' diagnosis, requirements of regulatory agencies, and analysis of evidence-based literature. Functions as an essential member of the interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate patients' nutritional care plans. Provides safe, therapeutic, evidence-based care for designated patient coverage in accordance with Clinical Nutrition and Vidant Health policies and procedures. Provides individualized, direct patient care within established Vidant Health policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition or related field is required.
  2. Successful completion of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved dietetic internship or equivalent AND practicum experience.
  3. One year of experience as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
  4. RDN and LDN are required.

Other Information

  • The Registered Dietitian is an integral member of our Lifestyle Medicine Clinic team that includes providers, lifestyle coaches, exercise physiologists, licensed clinical social worker, lifestyle nurse specialists, chefs, and support staff. Our outpatient clinic provides a team-based approach for the prevention, treatment and reversal of chronic diseases.
  • This position offers a blend of remote and onsite work.
  • Position is full time, benefit eligible.
